The changing global technology landscape requires constant monitoring to ensure that technology and internet related legislation, regulations and policies, continue to meet or exceed international best practice and standards. This continues to be a prime focus for the Department of E-Commerce and is reflected in the Department of E-Commerce’s Mission statement and business plan.

Bermuda’s IT

The content of the Mission statement and business plan also reflects the change that has taken place in the operations of the DoE-C, in terms of taking a holistic approach. From being concerned solely with policy and legislative matters, the Department of E-Commerce now deals with a much broader set of responsibilities reflecting the changing use of technology and its importance as a key driver for economic growth and stability.
